Apollo Brown & OC Announce New Album

This I find very very interesting and most definitely something to look forward to. We haven't really heard anything from D.I.T.C. member O.C. for a while. Well, not since his collaboration with A.G. in 2010. But him linking up with Detroit's Apollo Brown, sounds like a win to me. The album will be called "Trophies" and is due out March 27th from Mello Music Group.

I have to say, MMG has truly made a huge splash in terms of releases in 2011 and 2012 looks to be even better. I can't wait for the first single or leak to drop. But you know you can count on your boy LJ to bless you all with the heat...... Paz.

My 2012 Message

2011 saw alot of ups and downs for me on a personal level as well as professional. But no matter what obstacle was place din my path, I did my absolute best to overcome. Which brings me to why I'm writing this post.

I wanted to not only thank everyone that has supported me during good and bad, but to also let you all know that while it is very cliche to say "Oh this new year is going to be better". I truly feel it will be a better year. A better year for me and my family and a better year for My Word Is Vinyl.

I know I've said before many times, I've had things in the works. Which I do, I just don't like to speak about them much, in case ish doesn't work out. But believe me, big things are in store. Just trust me on that.

This passed year saw the redesign of the site, my collaborations with the famalam at The 7th Boro, some memorable shows, the one night return of Squeeze Radio, Willie Evans Jr and Senor Kaos finally releasing their respective albums, etc. From a music standpoint, I 2011 was a good one and set us all up for an even more positive 2012 for hip-hop. We should be seeing lots of great music coming out this year, like the return of Black Star just mention one.

If this is indeed the year that the world ends, which I truly doubt. (I don't buy into the ish about the Mayan calender) Let's make it a memorable one. Happy New Years to all........ Paz.
