Jeru The Damaja- D. Original (Video)

I was listening to this record earlier today and felt like posting the video for it. Classic ish without a doubt as well as Jeru's best album ever. Not to say that "wrath Of The Math" was no good, because it was great. But "The Sun Rises In The East" is an untouchable classic. Like "Illmatic", "Word...Life" and "Whut Thee Album" for example. Enjoy..... Paz.

The Kid Daytona- Angela's Sister

The Kid Daytona unleashes a new track, where the you can enjoy the latest sampling of the "Taxi" theme being used. I remember when Souls Of Mischief first used it for their record "Cab Fare", which has become a legendary record to the true schoolers.

The old man I am can truly enjoy and appreciate the use of the sample as wel as the record itself. 6th Sense is the mind behind this latest opus. Enjoy..... Paz.

R.I.P. Don Cornelius

I still can't believe it. It really bugged me out when I heard the news.

"LOS ANGELES — Don Cornelius, who with the creation of “Soul Train” helped break down racial barriers and broaden the reach of black culture with funky music, groovy dance steps and cutting edge style, died early Wednesday of an apparent suicide. He was 75".

My condolences go out to his family and friends...... Paz.

Who Flipped It And Who Tripped It?

DANIEL JOSEPH from TONE on Vimeo.

As you all know, I'm a big fan of the original versions of records some of today's emcees and producers use. And at times I feel certain artists use the sample better than others. With that said, here's the first installment to my new series "Who Flipped It & Who Tripped It"?. You have Daniel Joseph's "Reign" going against Onyx's "I'm So 90's". What do you think?..... Paz.
